Lose the "the" from "the rolling stones" and the stones kick the beatle's ass. Here's the query:

You can't give one special treatment over the other. Removing "the" from both gives us a more realistic view. That is, The Beatles ahead of the Stones, except for spikes when the Stones are actually in the news. Makes sense, although I thought Google ignored the word "the".

One of the neat features is that you can | together terms, so autumn|fall will get the whole set, and the graph then evens out considerably.

If you take a look at this graph...

...you can see there's a clear separation between church and state.
